The Hyogo Medical Center was established in 2001. From 2003 to February 2012, advanced treatment was successfully completed for 10 years and 4,513 patients were successfully treated. The biggest difference from previous radiotherapy (X-ray therapy) is to minimize the radiation effects of the human body and to concentrate on cancer cells to maximize the treatment effect.

 Cancers that can be treated using the particle beam therapy include cancer of the head and neck, brain cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, chest tumors, liver cancer, intrahepatic bile duct cancer, pancreatic cancer, kidney cancer, prostate cancer, local recurrence of bowel cancer, metastasis tumors (single foot), soft tissue sarcoma.
